Rick Crozier, MA, GMHS
Program Manager, Community Services for Older Adults, Good Samaritan Behavioral Healthcare in Puyallup, WA

Rick Crozier, MA, GMHS, is Program Manager, Community Services for Older Adults, Good Samaritan Behavioral Healthcare in Puyallup, WA. He is also a Geriatric Mental Health Specialist who has spent the past 17 years working with older adults and their mental health issues. He is the Vice Chair of the Washington State Mental Health Planning and Advisory Committee and the Chair of the Older Adult Services Treatment Sub Committee. He has been a consultant with the Washington State Mental Health Division in their effort to improve case-finding of at-risk older adults in need of services and was an advisory committee member to the Joint Legislative and Executive Task Force on Long Term Care, Safety, Quality and Oversight. Rick received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Sciences from Rollins College in 1983, his Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Community Psychology from Chapman University in 1990, and completed the Geriatric Mental Health Specialist Certificate Program at the University of Washington in 1992. He is widely known for both his advocacy efforts and for his informative and entertaining presentations on mental health and aging.

Jeannette Franks, Ph.D.
Affiliate Associate Professor, UW School of Social Work

Franks is a passionate gerontologist and for over 20 years has taught ethics, grief and loss, and courses on geriatrics and gerontology for the University of Washington. She served for nine years on the Kitsap County Advisory Council on Aging, is a board member of the Bainbridge Health, Housing, and Human Services Council, and is a Hospice volunteer. She also works with the Suquamish elders.

Ken Ryan, MC, GMHS

Ryan is a supervisor of mental health services to older adults at Highline - West Seattle Mental Health Center. He has been a mental health therapist for over 20 years, providing counseling, case management, day treatment, residential services, and emergency services to mentally ill persons. Ryan has extensive experience conducting workshops for both professional and non-professional staff on topics such as diagnosis, assessment, mental illness, dementia, depression, delirium and dealing with problem behavior. He is also an adjunct faculty member in the Graduate School of Counseling at Seattle University.
