Mark Minie, Ph. D.

Dr. Minie has extensive government, academic and industry experience in both bioresearch and IT. He has published research in cell and molecular biology as well as bioinformatics in peer reviewed scientific journals, and is currently the manager of the University of Washington Health Sciences Library BioCommons and an Affiliate Instructor with the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics. He also works for the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) teaching bioinformatics, and has served as a consultant to a wide range of clients including lawyers, investors and a noted science fiction writer.
Buddy D. Ratner, Ph.D.
Professor, Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering, University of Washington
Ratner is the director of the UW Engineered Biomaterials (UWEB) program, a National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center. His research interests include biomaterials, polymers, biocompatibility, surface analysis of organic materials, self-assembly and RF-plasma thin film deposition. Paul Yager, Ph.D.
Professor and Chair, Bioengineering, University of Washington
Yager's research interests include microfluidic devices for chemical and biochemical measurement, development of point-of-care diagnostic instruments, and the biophysics of self-organizing lipid systems.
