ABOUT THE EMCHS DEGREE PROGRAM
Offered through MEDEX Northwest and the UW School of Medicine, the Extended Master of Clinical Health Services (EMCHS) for physician assistants is designed for professionals who have worked as PAs for at least two years and hold a bachelor’s degree. The EMCHS helps you to assume leadership roles through the development of skills and techniques needed to manage the rapidly changing world of health care.

Focused Study
This innovative program allows you to earn credit in your current clinical practice and pursue a focused study under the mentorship of leading practitioners in specialized fields. Choose from four study options.

Because this program is primarily online with a minimal on-campus requirement, professionals throughout the U.S. have an opportunity to study in a prestigious program with faculty at the forefront of the field. Working professionals can stay employed while expanding their skills through the master’s degree program.

Residency
You’ll enjoy three weeks of study on the UW Seattle campus that includes a two-week intensive at the beginning of the program and a one-week intensive at the end. While most courses take place online, you'll still complete a portion of the curriculum in a clinical setting, gaining specialized skills and hands-on experience.
